This meetup is for fans of acoustic music. Old Time, bluegrass, folk, blues rock, jazz, traditional and Contemporary music. We have jams every few weeks inside and out depends on temps, somtimes at cafes. sometimes beginners can join in but are welcome to attend. We jam throughout the Triangle: from Mebane and Hillsborough, to Durham, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh and beyond. The Throwbacks are a group of individuals dedicated to creating music together. We have our roots in rock and the blues, but don't want to limit ourselves to a single genre. Instead, we welcome suggestions from any and all members as to what songs to play. The group's only criterion for song approval is that we all agree it's something our listeners will enjoy.
